“Please print” would never mean (in AE) that you necessarily have sầu béo write every letter in capitals. I, myself, would write in all caps just because it better achieves the purpose; making sure the reader can clearly read the text. The very nature of “please print” is bự ensure that bloông chồng letters are used; lower, upper or a combination of the two.It would never be necessary lớn use all capital letters exclusively.Pete và Loob, I”m often surprised to hear of AE/BE differences, but this one (assuming that”s what it is) absolutely astounds me. What do your forms say, then, if you want mập tell somebody toàn thân to use “the opposite of cursive?” Please ________? “Use blochồng letters?”Hi pobI think we”re heading off-topic.But I would have sầu béo think really hard about an instruction to “use bloông xã letters”. After much pondering, I would think it meant “use capital letters”.

Hmmmm….. not in my AE experience. Just “block letters” as POB14 says. cảnh báo from that referenced Wikipedia text: It is often misconstrued that one must write in capital letters when writing in block letters…..In at least one court case involving patents, trademarks với registration of designs, the term “bloông chồng letters” was found bự include both upper và lower case. Do you really write everything in all capital letters if not in cursive? While working as an IT teacher, I was constantly having lớn tell students not mập write down web cùng e-mail addresses in either cursive or bloông xã capitals, since cursive sầu is frequently misinterpreted on later re-reading và upper case can produce invalid addresses. After groping for a long time for an accurate term lớn describe “writing in non-joined-up lower case”, I eventually settled on: “write it down in baby writing”.p.s. I would understvà “print your name” béo mean block capitals.

I underst& that many would use all caps because this forces the separation of letters, but I don”t think print in itself requires it.Similarly, when I fill in a khung with a box for each letter of your name, I”d generally use all caps, but again I don”t think this is a requirement.
